Have you REALLY arrived?

 

But have you? 

.....yet another trend of quoting with no real concept of truth.  I chose this particular piece because not only has she NOT arrived, she brought the extra attention she didn't need.  

Let me break this down for you.  ARRIVING means, showing up ALL DAY, EVERYDAY, ON PURPOSE.  It means no matter where or when you show up, you're showing up FOR YOU and NO ONE else.  You could care less what the next person says.  YOU HAVE ARRIVED. 

There was a point in my life where I lived for everyone else.  I was....what you call a people pleaser.  My whole point in life was to make everyone else happy and disregard myself.  Day after day I would show up for others- only for them to show up for me when it was convenient or served purpose for them.  Can you imagine how that felt?  Can you imagine the emotions I embodied during this period in my life? 

It wasn't good.  I found myself doting on thank yous and acknowledgments....I felt down when I wasn't recognized.  Life was ONE BIG emotional rollercoaster. 

Then one day, I got tired.  I was tired of overextending myself for the sake of likes... tired of overextending myself for people who wouldn't hold a door for me....tired of hoping for a seat at the table that I was never meant to be at.  I realized that just like I showed up for everyone else, I could take that same energy and invest in ME. 

So I did.  

And here I am today...hyping MYSELF up.  Glowing and striving and succeeding at EVERYTHIING I put my mind to.  All because I ARRIVED.  I arrived and rose beyond the challenges of people and life.  I could care less about what the world says... I'm stepping further and further into my purpose.  Those who wanna join me...I welcome you.  But those trying slow me down or judge me....chile get outta my way.
